For years I have cringed at the thought of the unimaginable torture our Lord Jesus Christ suffered at the hands of the Roman AND Jewish soldiers right before they unmercifully hammered him to a dusty, dirty, splinty wooden cross, to be suspended between heaven and earth. . . while his bodily fluids (blood and water) gushed from gaping wounds no earthly bandages could withstand. Unrecognizable was his face. Torn to shreds was his flesh. Warm and sticky and putrid was the blood that seared his skin to his garment.
I’M GETTING NAUSEOUS AT THE VERY THOUGHT OF IT NOW!
Yet, before the TORTURE of the cross, Jesus had to endure the TORTURE of humiliation, shame, brutal, savage beatings all while being illegally arrested and tried before an unfair, unjust jury of his peers. Religious leaders. Imagine that!
WELL, IF YOU’RE IN THE MOOD FOR SOME GOOD OLD FASHIONED READING DURING THIS PASSOVER WEEKEND, I’VE GOT SOME INTERESTING STUFF, JUST FOR YOU!
But I must warn you, if you love Jesus like I do, and if you have never heard this information before, you may experience emotions of anger, rage, disgust, hurt, unbelief, sorrow, just to name a few. But don’t stop reading because the story doesn’t end on the cross. Jesus got up, ya’ll! He conquered death, hell and the grave and now sits on the right hand of the Father (God) making intercession for you and me!
Everything he went through, was for us! If I could type in tongues, I would. . . LOL
So let’s get started. Thanks to my spiritual brother, Charles Swindoll, for his in-depth study and research, making it possible for me to share this truth with you today. (I will post this information in several different blogs over the weekend leading up to Resurrection Sunday, ok?) Here we go:
According to the Gregorian calendar, the arrest and trials of Jesus took place on April 6th, 32AD, during a nine hour period. The Jews put together a plan that was illegal, fallacious, unfair, and unwarranted. No man was ever more innocent, and no man ever stood before six more illegal and unfair trials than Jesus.
NOT JUST ONE TRIAL, SIX TRIALS. WHO IN THE WORLD EVER HEARD OF SUCH?
To be continued. . .
